Why CSA Matters

There are a number of ways you can get your daily food needs. Grocery stores, coops, farmers markets, delis, restaurants and the list continues.  But CSA is different.  CSA is about making a political and economic statement all while eating really well.  It’s about voting with your food dollars, that you want to eat food that is produced locally and organically by farmers you know and trust.  It’s about adding a real face and real lives to your daily meals.  It’s about keeping your food dollars in your own community, county and state.  It’s about money that multiplies through local stores, banks and schools instead of fleeing the state to reside far off places.

When you become a CSA member, you are making a commitment to feeding yourself and your family better.  You are making a commitment paying a fair price for the labor of the farmers who feed you.  You are chosing clean water, less toxic soil along with healthier lives for those who grow your food and everyone who lives downstream.  Joining JenEhr’s organic CSA is about making a choice to live better, healthier and more sustainably.  Congratulations..
